A fairly tame and quiet movie, considering it features a gorilla in a dress. I think maybe it's because most comedies at least try to have the gorilla cause a ruckus? The only thing that really sticks out in this is Henry Darrow as a war vet who wears like twenty medals and seems perpetually on the verge of having a PTSD episode.
Also poor ol' Richie Gabai gets like three lines as a nondescript cop. This scene's pretty great all on its own: youtu. I would of loved this movie if I saw it as a kid. Watching it as a 34 year old for the first time im sure it doesn't have the same charm.
I still liked it but, some funny one liners, silly looking man in a Gorilla suit and 90s feel. Worth a watch if you got kids. Happy I got this for 50c well worth it for that.
